My Boys' Brigade friends. Took this shot for my friend Shaun (Second from left with the camera in hand) before he left for New Zealand. It was his last week in Malaysia so he asked me for a favour. Hope he's doing great over there! Take care bro! Now i do not have a friend to play table tennis with!
About this group jump shot, it wasnt easy to group them around to jump together. Afraid that they might block each others faces while jumping too. Was lucky enough to get it right on my first shot because if you didnt get it right for the first time, most probably you will end up getting an even worse shot after that. Why? Because people do not like to jump especially in uniforms and jumping is a really tiring thing to do. So if you make them jump for the second time or over and over again, they might get tired and lose the mood to jump. Just sharing my experience. Cheers :) I will post more shots like this in the future.
I have a blog too you know, click here!

I so understand about the "jumping" part! My friend and I tried jumping so that another friend of ours could take our picture. It was tiring but really fun! Nice shot!

@celialee: Yes it is and will be tiring to do jump shots. BUT, its always fun.
your timing here is spot on - well captured! the low angle up is very good too for the composition! love the blue of the sky too! good job!

@kairospix: Thank you very much! I will show more of shots like this really soon! I love group jump shots, more challenging than just one or a couple of people. The bigger the crowd, the better.

@{H} creatives: Let me share you how I did it. First you make them line up in a not so straight line. More like a U shape or an oval. Then you go as low as you can, if its possible to lay flat on the floor, do so. Get as low as you can. If ur good enough, just place the camera on the floor and estimate ur shot and distance but i would still suggest you to view from the viewfinder to compose your shot unless u get use to shooting without using the viewfinder like me. Pre focus and make sure you leave some space at all 4 angle - left, right, top and bottom. This is because when they jump, they might get a little bit excited and go off frame. Thats why it is always good to leave some space at the sides...like an insurance. :) The Most important thing is that, make sure you tell them ur counting style. Like lets say you count down from 3 to 1, should they jump after number 1 or after you say the word "jump". Good to make them understand or know ur counting style so they all can jump at the same time. It suck to have a picture of someone still on the ground trying to jump while the others are already in the air. LoL! (Unless you wanted it to be that way). As usual, snap when they are in the air, not after you say the number 1 or "jump". Hope it helps.
Love the angle and nice timing too! Great capture!
