Moving out is overrated...lol! I moved out when I was 19. It was a good experience, but I lived on my own, actually I rented a room in a single family home. I took what I had for granted at my family home when I was living there with my family.

Now as a parent, I have one who has been on his own since he was one month shy of 20. He is military which is not really a fair comparison, but he is definitely an independent adult. My middle son is a college student living on campus. On his own but still 100% supported by mom and dad...not really the same. My youngest is almost 16 and a sophomore in high school.

21 is very young and I think unless you are really ready to decide that you really intend to spend the rest of your life with that special someone and not just "play house" then seriously consider this idea. Of course I was 21 when I married and we just celebrated our 24th Anniversary. We did not live together first though. I lived on my own first which I think really makes sense, and all the difference. I think living on your own first is a really good idea.
